Experienced, English speaking Ayi
Ni Hai Zhen (“Xiao Ni”) is available! She is one of those amazing ayis who is honest and trustworthy, polite and respectful, thinks out of the box and is pro-active, great with kids, fantastic in the kitchen, smart, talented and funny. (Yes, she does all those other things well too; housekeeping, laundry, errands, explaining to all the repairmen, landlord, whoever, what’s wrong and why somebody needs to fix it ASAP! Are you with me? Has this happened to you? It’s not a matter of “if”, only “when”. Sorry – but it’s true!) Xiao Ni has worked with western families (mainly American) for the last 20 years. Her English is quite good. Our older daughter was 11 when we arrived, it is her photo you see on graduation day with Xiao Ni. We also adopted an infant while we lived in China – so we had both – a teenager and a toddler. Xiao Ni took it all in stride and helped us in so many ways. She knows many western dishes; Spaghetti Bolognese, best-ever Caesar Salad, pancakes, roasted salmon, Thanksgiving dinner – you name it and she can do it. Her Chinese cuisine is second to none. She is native to Anhui Province- someone told us before we moved to China; “If you can, hire an ayi from Anhui. They’re the best.”. I don’t know if this is true, but it certainly was in our case! Xiao Ni will tell you, after living in Shanghai for so many years and after working for so many Americans, she is 1/2 Shanghai ren and 1/2 Meiguo ren. This will be the last ayi you will ever need or want. She worked for us from the day we arrived until the day we returned home – 8 years in total. I love her. She is my friend. She is part of our family and I miss her dearly. Email me with questions: firstname.lastname@example.org Or call her directly: 177 5655 8578 or WeChat: nhz5088
