Meet Working Mama

I am a wife of one, mother of one, and employee to well…one. Hailing from the sunny shores of Singapore, I was plucked from the soaring heights of a New York career to answer to Love’s call in Shanghai. I answer to the name of Candy and am easily bribed by Baker & Spice’s Farmhouse Carrot Cake, Marks & Spencer’s Jaffas and redcurrant puffs, as well as Mee Pok Tah (spicy, yummy noodles) from Frankie’s restaurant.

I love anything pretty and creative, but really, I adore shoes. And food. And books.

My favorite daydream is curling under my duvet covers with a good book and snacks. The shoes can sit by my bed being adored. A perfect way to spend an afternoon, wouldn’t you agree?

being a working mother is just an added bonus. A tidbit to lure you into my lair, if you will. I will attempt to capture and pen some of the million thoughts that race through my head each day as I rush through this vibrant city juggling the many things that call out for attention as a paid employee at work and a non-paying one at home, while trying to retain a semblance of my individuality and interests.
