Shanghai Mamas, in collaboration with Octave Relational Center, is pleased to offer our community an exclusive parent workshop, “Secrets of Raising High EQ Babies”. This free workshop will be held on Tuesday, January 11 from 10:00-12:00 at The Living Room by Octave (TLR) at No. 357 Jianguo West Road and will be led by Dr. Carol Wang, a senior psychological counselor and lecturer from Octave.

This workshop combines the latest scientific research and neuropsychology to help parents convert knowledge to action for building healthy parent-child relationships and laying a solid foundation for parenthood. This workshop is suited for parents/main caregivers of children 0-6, new parents and parents-to-be. It will review babies/children (0-6 year olds), especially in their first 1000 days, and identify their major and amazing brain development milestones and learn how to understand and stay away from 3 common parenting misunderstandings:

1. The misunderstanding of training baby independence
2. Misunderstandings in training babies to learn a foreign language
3. Inappropriate way to keep your babies quiet

Dr. Carol will also provide parents a few simple but useful activities at home to help babies/children boost brain development.
