Ask An Expert – any questions?

    Hello all,

It’s been a long while since we’ve organized a round of ‘Ask an Expert’ questions.

In the past, the questions have been on topics that we might not want to ask directly in the forums or that are of a more serious nature.  I have a great team of medical (of various sorts), legal, psychological and education specialists, as well as a great stylist.  In addition we have a very experienced middle school health teacher.  So if your children have questions about health, sexuality, or stress management (or if you want tips on how to talk to them about any of those topics) please feel free to ask.

If you don’t want the question to appear here or to be anonymous, please PM me.  Depending on the question, I might reach out to more than one expert, it’s always nice to get a few opinions.

Any really random, burning questions area also welcome, I would rise to the challenge to track down some obscure experts!

Some great questions rolling in, I’m starting to track down some answers for people.

I also wanted to add, that if you ARE an expert in a field who wouldn’t mind sharing some information, I would love to hear from you.

    Hi,

Yes, I was wondering if you or anyone knew of anywhere to donate some clothes/toys etc. I saw your post looking for an event where you drop your stuff of at a bar etc/exchange.

I’m looking for a Chiropractor if anyone has any recommendations. Preferably in the Xuhui/Xujiahui/FCC area. Happy to travel further too.

I’m also a certified Sports Massage Therapist if anyone has any questions in that field.. Will be baopalsing a new couch soon and hopefully getting set up down here somewhere. Follow up questions on where to start with that to come 😉

    Hi Janette!

Thanks for the questions.  I like to go to The Clinic for chiropractic (Jiashan lu near Yongkang), and others like Shanghai Chiropractic (which is more in Gubei).

I’ll see if I can track down a list of places to donate stuff.

Maybe we just have to organize something ourselves, too 😉

Let me know about donations but happy to help out with a little project too!

I would love information and tips on personal style/fashion for a “plus” sized woman.  Where to buy the basics (like bras and panties) and general style advise.  I could totally go for a mommy make-over!

    Info on Autism/signs, etc.

Middle School and older years – how to talk to kids about parties/alcohol/drug availability in Shanghai as life is different here than my home country (easy access to alcohol/cigarettes/vape/etc.)

    @jenny I am on it!

    Question for all…

Would you prefer responses to the questions in the forums (maybe more conversation afterwards and even follow up questions depending…)  OR have them more like articles?
