Our August and September events

Hi all!

 

Perhaps you’re finding a new lease of life after the summer now the children are heading back to school, or maybe you’ve just arrived and are looking to get out and about and make some new friends. Either way, we have all the information that you need! Here you can find information about the many events that we are hosting in August and September, including weekly coffee meetups which now happen all over the city, Book Club and other special events (check website for details and locations).

 

Weekly coffee mornings

 

Tuesdays 21, 28 August and 4, 11, 18, 25 September – Downtown coffee morning

This takes place every Tuesday from 10.30am, and all Shanghai Mamas, Papas, friends, and helpers are welcome. There is a wide menu of options and a safe play area for littles to run around while you chat. If you are interested in attending, find me on WeChat at Hannah_Zheng_ and I can add you in.

Tuesdays 21, 28 August and 4, 11, 18, 25 September – Xintiandi coffee morning

This takes place every Tuesday from 10 am until noon at Sproutworks Xintiandi store, with special breakfast details available for mamas. Outside tables also available for sunny days!

Wednesdays 22, 29 August and 5, 12, 19, 26 September – Hongqiao coffee morning

This takes place every Wednesday around 10 am-noon. Everyone is welcome, including mamas, ayis and friends and little ones. If you are interested in attending, please find group owner Siobhan on WeChat at WeChat ID SiobhanBrown.

Thursdays 23, 30 August and 6, 13, 20, 27 September – Jinqiao coffee morning

This takes place every Thursday from 10am. Come along and join us with your little ones at Moon Space Café in Jinqiao, and enjoy a cup of coffee while your little ones play in the jungle gym! If you are interested in attending, find me on WeChat at Hannah_Zheng_ and I can add you in.

Fridays 24, 31 August and 7, 14, 21 and 28 September – Lujiazui coffee morning

This takes place every Friday mornings from 10 am until 12.30 pm or thereabouts. Please join us for coffee and delicious baked goods, the more, the merrier! Special events

 

 

Sunday 19^th August, 11.30am-2.30pm, Shanghai Mamas Brunch (sold out)

Join Shanghai Mamas for a fun filled 5 course “Flavors of China” welcome back brunch at Puben. Kids under 8 dine free, and there’s fun to be had for the whole family, including a Chinese zodiac balloon artist and Sichuan face-changing magic.

Tuesday 21^st August, 7pm – June Shanghai Mamas book group

The Shanghai Mamas Book Club will be meeting Tuesday the 21st of August to discuss the August 2018 book selection – The Secret History of Wonder Woman by Jill Lepore. Reading the book is not a requirement for joining us – if you are in need of a night out, some adult conversation and maybe some adult food/drink – join us! Shanghai Mamas is partnering with Fields for an awesome Welcome Back event! Enjoy music, dancing, interactive workshops and food. Returning families and newcomers will all love learning about what this cool and vibrant city has to offer. Will be held at the Shanghai Centre and supported by our media sponsors That’s Shanghai and Urban Family magazines. Don’t miss this event!
