Hi all!

 

Perhaps you’re finding a new lease of life after the summer now the children are heading back to school, or maybe you’ve just arrived and are looking to get out and about and make some new friends. Either way, we have all the information that you need! Here you can find information about the many events that we are hosting in September and October, including weekly coffee meetups which now happen all over the city, Book Club and other special events (check website for details and locations).

 

Weekly coffee mornings

 

Tuesdays 25 September and 8, 15, 22 and 29 October – Downtown coffee morning

This takes place every Tuesday from 10.30am, and all Shanghai Mamas, Papas, friends, and helpers are welcome. There is a wide menu of options and a safe play area for littles to run around while you chat.

Tuesdays 25 September and 8, 15, 22 and 29 October – Xintiandi coffee morning

This takes place every Tuesday from 10 am until noon at Sproutworks Xintiandi store, with special breakfast details available for mamas. Outside tables also available for sunny days!

Wednesdays 26 September and 10, 17, 24, 31 October – Hongqiao coffee morning

This takes place every Wednesday around 10 am-noon. Everyone is welcome, including mamas, ayis and friends and little ones.

Fridays 28 September and 12, 19, 26 October – Lujiazui coffee morning

This takes place every Friday mornings from 10 am until 12.30 pm or thereabouts. Please join us for coffee and delicious baked goods, the more, the merrier! We’re usually seated on the large table at the back.

Special events

 

Tuesday 25 September, 10am – Stay & Play at Little Bugz

We are proud to bring you a stay & play session with one of new partners, Little Bugz. We are able to offer this free of charge to the first thirty families who register, please join our WeChat group for further details.

Thursday 27 September, 10-11.30am – Australia & NZ Travel Talk. FULLY BOOKED

If you are thinking of travelling to Australia or New Zealand, and want to know more…. please join us! Our host will be Australia Expat Travel, an Australian travel agency who have helped many Shanghai expats with their travel planning and booking since 2004. They know both countries well and offer local knowledge on where to go and what to do! There will be plenty of brochures and information available. In addition, you will receive a discount offer on their consultancy fee for attendees who book holidays over the next 12 months.

Tuesday 9^th October, 7pm – October book group

The Shanghai Mamas Book Club will be meeting Tuesday 9^th October to discuss the October 2018 book selection – your choice of book by Margaret Atwood. Reading the book is not a requirement for joining us – if you are in need of a night out, some adult conversation and maybe some adult food/drink – join us! If you’re interested in following but can’t make the meeting, join our WeChat group!

Wednesday 17^th October, 7pm until late – Mom’s Night Out at Geneva

Join us for a fantastic Mom’s Night Out! ¥250 will buy you food, drinks, bingo cards and, as if that’s not enough, karaoke! This is one night that you’ll not want to miss!
