<div>Spring Festival is the most important Chinese festival, celebrated every year at the beginning of the new lunar year. Traditionally it is a time for families to re-unite and re-connect and make way for the auspicious year ahead.
There are many traditions and customs associated with Spring Festival, some of which we still carry on today. It is traditional for every family to thoroughly clean the house in order to sweep away any ill-fortune and to make way for incoming good luck. Windows and doors will be decorated with red color paper cuttings and couplets with popular themes of “good fortune”, “happiness”, “wealth” and “longevity.” Other activities include lighting firecrackers and giving money in red paper envelopes.
Join us at the Children Enhancement Center at The Living Room as we enjoy re-creating these traditions and customs together!
In order to let children know the traditional culture of Spring Festival–and to welcome the Year of the Monkey–we have prepared many fun activities and games: art activities, parent-child activities, baby yoga, and English practice.
Kids will have plenty to do while parents relax and enjoy a leisurely brunch at Thought For Food, our gourmet, natural, organic restaurant at The Living Room
These activities are appropriate for children age 6 months to 3 years old.
The Living Room is equipped with Pure Air Filtration which filters PM2.5 particles down to 0.006um to create the healthiest environment for ourselves and our children.
