I stumbled upon the twiggy-broomed snow removal brigade on my blizzardly walk this January morning. They were very hard at work and taking their job very seriously. I think my favorite part is the lady in heels toting the shovel. She obviously didn’t know how her day would unfold when she was making footwear decisions in the morning. – contributed by Melanie Ham
Welcome to the Shanghai My Eye! photoblog project. Each entry features one photo taken somewhere around town that speaks in some way to the experience of living in this mad and marvelous metropolis. The goal is to build up a collection of images of Shanghai as seen through the eye of the www.shanghaimamas.org community – beautiful, strange, surprising, alarming, amazing. So please, send me your photos, along with a short paragraph about what the image means to you.
Email contributions to: kelliehenry@shanghaimamas.org You are welcome to submit as many photos as you like, but separately please – only one photo and description per email.
Too funny! In my country you would only see one person out clearing that and only after an accumulation of at least 10 cm AND then only after it had stopped!
I love the rain gear – especially the hats! Great shot, Mel!
