The school year is not yet over, but the city is abuzz with summer camp fever! Granted, it’s going to be another long hot summer in Shanghai, so if you’re looking to entertain the kids (and keep your sanity) this summer, check out our list of eight summer camps for kids aged between 2 – 14 years.
1) Wild Kids Summer Camp 2021
Your kids will go wild for Wild Kids sleep-away camp in beautiful Moganshan. There are two fantastic programs to choose from facilitated by Wild Kid’s dedicated camp counselors.
Program A – ‘Gold, Wood, Water, Fire & Earth’ is their Science Program. Inspired by STEM the program will challenge kids with everything from building and flying drones, Aquaponics, building volcanos and even kayaking.
Program B – ‘Vlog Making’ the perfect blend of nature and electronics. Children will learn all the tips and tricks to creating a vlog (video blog/log). From choosing and using camera equipment, sound and video editing, learning what to say and how to say it and even an overnight trip in an RV to film stunning scenery.
2) Queen of Arts ‘Shanghai Summer Kids Art Camp’
Keep your kids cool, inspired and creative during the holidays with Queen of Arts Studio summer art program. With an exciting array of activities and motivating art themes children will explore a range of media & techniques such as: print-making, textiles, illustration, crafts and sculpture.

3) Bushido Jiu Jitsu – Summer Kids Camp
Help your child learn the foundations of self-defense in a fun, yet safe, environment at Bushido Jiu Jitsu Summer Camp. Through skill oriented games, they’ll roll and tumble whilst improving their motor skills, agility and flexibility.

4) Awesome Summer Camp
This summer is Awesome Kids Club’s 11th Annual Summer Camp and each week the activities will be themed around a classic children’s book. Think Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Where the Sidewalk Ends, The BFG, The Giving Tree and more. The children will do fun arts & crafts, learn key vocabulary, practice reading comprehension skills, set up exciting themed activities, drama, science experiments and so much more to really get a unique understanding of these amazing stories!

5) Busy Bee Summer Camp 2021
Whether you have a Baby Bee or a Busy Bee they’re sure to love learning at Busy Bee Summer Camp. This summer the weekly themes include; Secrets of Ancient Egypt, Reptile Kingdom, Around the World, Mad Science and Arctic Blast. Through theme and play based learning the children will engage with activities including art, science, engineering, writing and math preparing them for the fall semester.
6 & 7 – 2021 Sportsworld Summer Camps
SportsWorld Summer camps aim to teach children independence, responsibility, teamwork and communication skills whilst improving their fine and gross motor skills. Children will engage in a range of activities including swimming, football, basketball, karate, magic and creativity. They have two locations catering to children of different ages; Lakeville for children aged 4-7 years and Kerry Parkside Pudong for children aged 5-10 years old.
8) China Sports United (CSU)
China Sports United is offering a range of camp activities for kids this summer including Swimming & Water Polo, Hip-Hop, Basketball and Multi-Sports. Activities are lead by top international coaches including an international dance champion and former pro-athletes. Early bird and group discounts available.
